SYDNEY SUN SHINES FOR NSW GOLF DAY

It was a beautiful day in Sydney for ASGA’s popular annual NSW Sign & Print Golf Day at the Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club. Over 60 golfers teed off early under a beautiful Sydney sunrise for 18 holes of golf, played in the Ambrose style, in which team members take turns, each hitting the ball from where the previous player’s ball landed. All the teams had great fun, with Team Roland narrowly beating out Team Canon for the overall honours on the day. Huge thanks to our 2025 ASGA Sign & Print Golf Series sponsors Graphic Art Mart, Bentleigh Group, Mulford, ORAFOL, Signarama, SMIB, Spicers and Bounce LED/LetterTech, and local Sydney sponsors Ball & Doggett, Bentleigh Group, Easy Signs and Roland DG.

SCAMS ON THE RISE - PROTECT YOURSELF!

Scams are once again on the rise - in fact, we had a phishing attempt in the ASGA office just this week - so it's always good to brush up on how to recognise the common signs of a scam. The Government has recently released a handy article with some of the most common signs of a scam, and how to report and recover if you fall for these increasingly sophisticated schemes. As a rule of thumb, if you are unsure about a message, don't respond and don't click on links. Read the whole story here

DIMENSE DA-640 REDEFINES SURFACE DECORATION

The DIMENSE DA-640 redefines surface decoration by combining full-colour printing with controlled embossing in a single, seamless process, making it a game-changer for professionals in signage, interiors, and branded environments. This wide-format printer adds physical texture to flat surfaces, transforming murals, wall graphics, and retail displays into multi-sensory experiences that stand out in today’s competitive visual landscape. Interior designers and architects gain the ability to create bespoke, tactile surfaces on demand—without relying on pre-patterned materials—while the technology’s compatibility with standard design software and the Roland DG Connect DIMENSE Module makes it easy to integrate into existing workflows.

What sets Roland DG's DIMENSE DA-640 apart is its blend of innovation and eco-consciousness. It uses PVC-free media and water-based inks that meet stringent environmental and air quality standards, making it ideal for green building projects. An expanding library of specialty media—including matte, suede, and metallic finishes—ensures versatility for various aesthetics and applications, even in high-traffic environments. As digital wallpaper printing currently holds just a 5% market share, the potential for growth is substantial. The DA-640 empowers sign shops, studios, and in-house teams to deliver high-margin, design-focused work with depth, durability, and a distinct tactile edge.

SUPPORT THE COMPANIES THAT SUPPORT YOUR ASSOCIATION

HERE'S WHAT SOME OF OUR CURRENT MEMBERS SAY...

Our ASGA membership not only gives us access to important resources and expertise, it connects us to a network of like-minded businesses who can help to provide the understanding and support which can be so valuable when you are running a business.

    - Ben Kemp - Sign Effects, Wodonga & Wangaratta

In my opinion membership of ASGA is a must. We’ve been part of the Association since Day One, and have used the member benefits on many occasions. In particular, having professional legal and workplace advice and counsel there when we need it is worth way more than the membership fee we pay. Money well spent for sure!”

    – Dave, Signarama Redlands.

Amongst everything you are going through, we think you are doing an absolutely brilliant job and we are so grateful to be a part of this organisation, led by you and your team. Thank you for all you do.

    - Sue, QLD

Just wanted to say a big thank you to you and team for all the general advice and updates throughout this year. If this isn’t a testament to being a ASGA member I don’t what is.

    - Justin, VIC
